Former chairman of Tata Sons, Cyrus Mistry died in a road accident near Mumbai today.He was 54.
As per reports, Mistry was travelling from Ahmedabad to Mumbai in a Mercedes car.
The accident occurred at around 3.15 pm when the car hit with a road divider in the Charoti area of Palghar, 135 kilometres from Mumbai.
Mistry died on the spot, while, the other two persons in his car, including the driver, were injured.

Others who were injured have been taken to a hospital in Gujarat.
Mistry’s body has been sent to the Kasa Rural Hospital in Gujarat for a post-mortem examination.
He left behind his wife and two children.
Mr. Mistry, Tata Sons’ sixth chairman, was removed from his post in October 2016. After Ratan Tata announced his retirement in December 2012, he took over as chairman.
