Four Electrocuted to Death in Assam’s Hailakandi

In a tragic incident, as many as four people were killed by electrocution in Assam’s Hailakandi district today.

The incident took place at Bilaipur village of Hailakandi.

Among the deceased was a 4-year-old boy Razibul Hussain.

Razibul Hussain was the son of Sufian Ahmed Sheikh (Father) and Husnara Begum Sheikh (Mother).

The incident occurred after the minor boy got into contact with live electric wires and died on the spot.

When Razibul Hussain got electrocuted, his parents rushed to him and they too electrocuted to death while trying to save their son.

Besides, a neighbour identified as Jahid Hussain Sheikh also died while trying to save them.

Meanwhile, residents have accused the electricity department of their negligence.

Following the unfortunate tragedy, the entire area has been engulfed in a pall of gloom.
