Meenakshi Goswami, Principal of Chandranath Higher Secondary School in Assam’s Sonitpur district has been conferred with National Award for Teachers today on the occasion of Teachers’ Day.
Meenakshi Goswami was presented the award by President Droupadi Murmu at the Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.
Goswami received the national award for her contributions to the profession.
Meenakshi Goswami was one of 46 teachers from across India who received the honour from the President on Teachers’ Day today.

It may be mentioned that as many as 7 teachers from the Northeast have been conferred National Award for Teachers.
Every year on Teachers Day, the Ministry of Education’s Department of School Education and Literacy hosts a national-level celebration to present the National Awards to the top teachers in the country.
The ‘National Awards for Teachers 2022’ are awarded to teachers who have influenced the lives of students by boosting the quality of school education through their dedication and hard work.
