Two persons have been arrested with a huge amount of gold in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Saturday night.
The seized gold weighing around 2.323 kgs was recovered during a joint operation launched by the Assam Police and Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
The police and CRPF set up a Naka check in the Laharijan area based on secret information.
The gold was seized during frisking procedures on a passenger bus.

The arrested duo have been identified as Md Mohim and Md Masharudin, both residents of Thoubal district of Manipur.
During the search, security personnel recovered 14 gold bars weighing 2.323 kg on the night super bus.
According to the police source, the bus was coming from Manipur to Guwahati.
Meanwhile, the arrested couple is being interrogated by police.
