Two minor sisters found hanging from tree in Lakhimpur, Uttar Pradesh
In a tragic incident, the bodies of two minor sisters from the Scheduled Caste community were allegedly found hanging from a tree in Uttar Pradesh’s Lakhimpur kheri district on Wednesday.
At least four suspects have reportedly been taken into custody in the connection.
The bodies of two minor girls were found hanging from a tree on in the Lalpur Majra Tamoli Purva hamlet area, which is under the jurisdiction of the Nighasan police station in the Lakhimpur Kheri district.
However, the bodies had no visible wounds, said police.

Meanwhile, the relatives of the victims and the locals protested near the Nighasan crossing and blocked the road demanding justice for the victims.
The police force rushed to the demonstration scene and informed the local protestors that the culprits would face harsh punishment.
The bodies of the two sisters have been sent for post-mortem examination. Other matters to be determined following the post-mortem, said police.
Further investigation into the matter is on.
