Guwahati: In a horrific incident, a 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by six men over the period of two days in Assam’s Nagaon district, the official said on Thursday.
The minor girl has been admitted to a hospital where she is undergoing treatment.
According to sources, the girl was captive for two days by the accused who gang-raped her.
As per the official, the victim was brought to the hospital in an e-rickshaw a semi-conscious state by a youth.
An official stated that a case had been registered at the Nagaon Civil Hospital outpost and police started a probe into the incident.
She was kidnapped by some miscreants when she was waiting for an e-rickshaw to return home from school on Tuesday, the victim said.
“I was taken somewhere unknown while my mouth, hands, and legs were tied. I was confined for two days and repeatedly raped by a total of six people”, the victim added.
