Victor Das who was arrested for allegedly spreading rumours of corruption in the recently held direct recruitment exams by the Assam government and was released on interim bail on September 16 has been suspended from his government service today.
Das has been suspended with immediate effect, according to the Office of the District Elementary Education, Kamrup, following the report of the Head Teacher of Panitema Radha Krishna Jugal Milan L.P. School.

On September 9, Assam police arrested Victor Das on suspicion of spreading rumours about a scam in the recruitment process to fill over 26,000 vacant positions in various departments.
Das has been granted interim bail by the Gauhati High Court in Assam until September 29.

Victor Das made these explosive allegations in a tweet on Twitter.
Victor Das is the owner of a Guwahati-based coaching institute.
Besides he was an Asst. teacher of Pub Panitema Radha Krishna Jugal Milan L.P school.
It may be mentioned that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma reacted to Das’ allegations and said that Victor Das has failed to prove his claims, and if people make random allegations, it would be impossible to conduct examinations in Assam.
