Assam: 4 minors drown after falling into pond in Nagaon

Guwahati: At least four children died of drowning in a pond in Assam’s Nagaon district on Friday.

The incident took place at Xutirpar in Juria of the district.

The incident occurred when the children were playing during the day, accidentally fell into the pond and drowned, said sources.

However, the locals of the area recovered the bodies of the children from the pond.

Meanwhile, their body was taken to the hospital and all four were declared dead by the doctors.

The deceased children have been identified as Nur Nessa (15), Rahima Khatun (12), Arsina Khatun (10) and Imrana Khatun (6).
