Assam: Hajo residents organises rally to commemorate centenary celebration of Durga Puja

Guwahati: The residents of Kulhati village, located in the Hajo subdivision of Kamrup district in Assam organised a procession on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Durga Puja on Sunday.

Hajo’s people are thrilled to celebrate the biggest festival with full fervour and grandeur, which has been commemorated for the centenary celebration and this procession gave another dimension.

During the rally, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Dilip Saikia, BJP state executive member Ratul Sharma, state mahila morcha secretary Asha Bordoloi, and state Kisan Morcha general secretary Nibaran Lahkar were also present.

Meanwhile, Union Minister of state for social justice and empowerment, Pratima Bhowmik also attended the event in the day-long programme.

Popular Assamese singer Vreegu Kashyap was present as a special guest at the procession as well.
