Property worth lakhs gutted in fire mishap in Assam’s Jorabat

Guwahati: Massive fire erupted in Meghalaya’s Ri bhoi district and Assam’s Kamrup Metro district gutting properties worth several lakh of rupees on Monday.

The incident took place at a rubber factory in 11 mile of Jorabat.

According to sources, fire brigades were sent from both Meghalaya and Assam and douse the fire.

Meanwhile, it is suspected that the fire was caused by mechanical failure.

However, the exact reason of the fire has not yet been ascertained.
