Hojai DC, ADC Suspended For Misbehaving With Locals

The deputy commissioner (DC) and additional deputy additional commissioner (ADC) of Assam’s Hojai district were suspended effective immediately on Wednesday.

Hojai DC Anupam Choudhury and ADC Raktim Baruah have been suspended indefinitely after they were accused of misbehaving with a father-son duo in a drunken state.

According to reports, both were drunk when they misbehaved with the father-son duo, but it was unclear how the incident began.

The incident occurred in front of the government residence in Washington, DC.

The two bureaucrats were suspended after Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma issued an express order.

The Chief Minister had reportedly received several complaints against the DC and ADC, based on which he took stern action.
