Arunachal: Army chopper crashes Upper Siang district

Guwahati: Indian Army helicopter crashed in upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh on Friday morning, army officials said.

The incident took place near Migging village of Tuting in the district around 10.43 am.

As per official, “Teams have been sent to the crash site to start search and rescue operations. No further details on the number of passengers and their condition available yet.”

The site of the accident not connected by road and a rescue team was sent, official added.

Earlier this month a Cheetah helicopter of the Indian Army crashed in Tawang district of Arunachal Pradesh near the boundary with China, killing one of the two pilots onboard, a defence spokesperson said.
