Assam: 3 arrested with drugs worth Rs 4 Cr in Karimganj

In yet another major drug haul, Assam police today seized illegal drugs worth over Rs 4 crore in the Karimganj district and detaining three people in connection with it.

The drugs were found inside an Alto car that was seized at Badarpur along the border between Assam and Tripura.

A total of 48 soap boxes filled with drugs were seized from the vehicle that was concealed in inside the trunk.

The arrested individuals have been identified as Islam Uddin, Hussain Ahmed, and Abdul Latif.

A case has been filed against the gang under the NDPS Act.

A sizable shipment of marijuana worth Rs. 15 crores was discovered earlier today in Jorabat, Assam.
