Assam: Police Recover Huge Cache of Arms and Ammunition In Udalguri District

Guwahati: Assam police recovered a huge cache of arms and ammunition from a remote area in the Udalguri district along the Assam-Arunachal Pradesh border on Sunday.

Acting on a tip-off, district police launched an operation at the Chikaridanga area under Mazbat police station and recovered the arms and ammunition which were buried in the jungle area.

As per officials, the police team recovered 3 AK series rifles, six magazines, and 620 rounds of ammunition from the area.

The official said that the case has been registered in this regard.

It is suspected that the recovered arms and ammunition were belonging to militants.
