Assam: Truck With 35 Cattle Heads Seized Golaghat
As many as 35 cattle heads were saved at Bokakhat in Golaghat district of Assam on Tuesday night.
According to reports, police stopped a truck and rescued the cattle heads as part of a standard inspection.
During searches, police found a total of 35 cattle heads that were being smuggled in the back of the truck.
Meanwhile, the driver of the truck, identified as Bulbul Hussain, has been arrested in connection to the seizure.
The cattle heads were found to be being trafficked from Kuruwabahi to Samaguri when they were rescued at Bokakhat.
41 cattle heads in all were recently saved in the Golaghat district.
They were rescued from a container truck which was en route Nagaon’s Samuguri from Bokakhat where it was intercepted.
