Assam: DTO official suspended for validating fake licenses in Charaideo district

Guwahati: An official at District Transport Officer on Sunday was suspended for validating a fake driving licence in Assam’s Charaideo district.

The suspended DTO has been identified as Rajeev Chandra Bordoloi.

According to sources, Bordoloi has been accused of validating fake licenses in Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh for a long time.

An order for his suspension was made as a result of this accusation.

Earlier in October, a Junior Assistant in the Dibrugarh DTO Office identified as Ditimoni Gogoi was trapped and caught red-handed by a team of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Assam. The sleuths of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption raided the residence of Gogoi.
