Assam: Armyman killed, 4 soldiers injured in road accident at the India-Bhutan border

Guwahati: One personnel of the Indian Army died while four others were injured in a road accident in Assam’s Tamulpur district at the India-Bhutan border on Monday, official said.

The incident took place at the Jamaguri area in the district.

As per the source, the army vehicle with five personnel on board was heading from Narangi Cantonment in Guwahati to the Darranga Field Firing Range when the accident occurred.

However, the injured Army personnel were rushed to the Army Base hospital in Guwahati, , where they are in stable condition, officials stated.

Meanwhile, the deceased jawan was identified as Lance Naik Prabin Tamang, a resident of Darjeeling in West Bengal.
