The deceased has been identified as Rituraj Mech (25), a resident of Da-Hukuta village in Duliajan.

The son of a former soldier, Rituraj, was working at their outhouse godown when the explosion occurred.

Parts of the cylinder were found on the roof of a house 50 metres away due to the blast’s extreme force.
