North Lakhimpur: Telahi Kamalabori Sakha Sahitya Sabha(TKSSS), a branch of Lakhimpur district Sahitya Sabha, has been organising various programmes for publicity and spread of literature at the rural areas since the time of it’s formation.
As a part of it, the lifetime members meeting for the year 2022 of the TKSSS was held at Bimala Prasad Chaliha L.P. School,Bapokhat, North Lakhimpur on Sunday.
The retired Vice-Principal of Panigaon H.S. School also the lifetime member of Telahi Kamalabori Sakha Sahitya Sabha Rukheswar Bhuyan felicitated the program by lighting the lamp. Later, the title song of Asom Sahitya Sabha ‘Siro Senehi Mur Bhakha Janani was performed by Nabajyoti Music School, Panigaon.
The meeting , was inaugurated by ex-president of TKSSS Nilo Chutia which later was presided over by the president of TKSSS Lohit Chandra Khound
Asom Sahitya Sabha central member and the editor of ‘Mangalmoy Patrika’ Sanjib Upadhyay attended in the meeting as the chief guest while Lakhimpur District Sahitya Sabha secretary Naba Kamal Borah attended as the appointed speaker. The intimate interaction with the life members of Asom Sahitya Sabha belonged to the TKSSS was anchored by Nilo Chutiya,Sanjib Borah and Horen Hazarika. The lifetime members who took part in the interaction were Ikheswar Borah, Gobin Chandra Nath,Syed Ahidur Rahman,Hemchandra Hazarika, Dimbeswar Hazarika,Tarun Borah,Nabanita Borah,Mina Devi Goswammi, Atul Borah,Lakhimarayan Bordoloi,Ratul Chandra Nath,Gunakanta Koch, PowalGogoi,Mintu Sarma,Rintu Saikia,Golap Koch and Pranita Saikia Borah.
Songs were performed by eminent artist. A beautiful play named ‘Mate Poka Dhane Ringiyai’, was performed by the students of Panigaon H.S. School. The meeting was anchored by TKSSS secretary Sanjib Borah.
