New Delhi: TMC national spokesperson Saket Gokhale arrested when he arrived at the airport at around 2 am. Tmc Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien tweeted the news on Tuesday. Derek alleged that Saket had opened up about the Morbi Bridge disaster in Gujarat. That’s why he was arrested. The TMC MP claimed that the BJP was taking the issue of indulging in political violence to another level.
In a series of tweets on Tuesday morning, Derek spoke about how the Gujarat Police had arrested the TMC national spokesperson. “Saket left New Delhi for Rajasthan at around 9 pm on Monday. The Gujarat Police was waiting to arrest him at the Rajasthan airport. ’’”Between Monday and Tuesday, at 2 a.m., Saket called his mother and told her that the police were taking her to Ahmedabad. He will reach Ahmedabad on Tuesday afternoon.
Derek said that before arresting Saket, the police gave Saket time to pack up his belongings and make a two-minute phone call. After that, all of Saket’s belongings and phone were taken away.Explaining why Saket was arrested, Derek wrote, “Saket had tweeted about the morbi bridge collapse in Gujarat.
