New Delhi:Once again, tiger attacked Chandrapur in Maharashtra. After the twin deaths on Wednesday, a woman was killed in a tiger attack on Thursday afternoon. At least 50 people have lost their lives in tiger attacks in the district this year. The tiger killed 44 people. The other six were killed by the leopard.
Chief Conservator of Forests Prakash Lankar said the deceased has been identified as Swaroopa Teletiwar. He is 50 years old. He was harvesting cotton in the field at Khari village in Sawli range on Thursday. That’s when the tiger attacked. He ate the woman.
On Wednesday, two people were killed in a twin tiger attack in the area adjacent to the Tadoba-Andheri tiger project in Chandrapur. Locals said that an elderly man was working in the field of Rudrapur village in Sawli block in the early hours of Wednesday. It is reported that one tiger attacked at that time. The second incident took place in Kantapeth village some distance away. A herder was killed in a tiger attack there.
