Itanagar:Tawang. Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of India, did not want to include the territory over which there was a fire between India and China a few days ago. This is what Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu claimed. He claimed that sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the country’s first home minister, played a key role in the inclusion of Tawang in India.

Pema Khandu says that there are chapters in history that are the citizens of our country. Not taught. This chapter is the same. Pema Khandu claimed, “It was entirely Sardar Patel’s decision to include Tawang in India. At that time, Arunachal Pradesh was not even named Arunachal Pradesh. At that time, the responsibility of governing this area was on the Assam administration. Its name was NEFA or North Eastern Frontier Agency.

The Arunachal Pradesh chief minister claimed that it was at the will of the then Sardar Patel that Assam Governor Jairamdas Daulatram had directed General Bob Khating to hoist the Indian flag at Tawang. But it took almost two months to get permission to hoist the flag. According to Pema Khandu, Governor Jairamdas Daulatram had approached Prime Minister Nehru to get permission to hoist the national flag in the area. By then Sardar Patel had passed away. But Nehru told him, “What are we going to do with this place?” even though the Indian flag was hoisted at Tawang despite Nehru’s objections. General Bob Khating hoisted the Indian flag at Taiwang without anyone’s instructions.Pema Khandu says that there are chapters in history that are the citizens of our country.
