New Delhi:Congress leader P Chidambaram pulled back the government after the December 9 Yangtze clash in Arunachal Pradesh has so far been soft on the opposition’s demand for talks on the India-China border issue.
The former finance minister said Rs 500 crore was sought for defence capital expenditure for the border roads in the north-east of the country. The issue of investment bill has also been discussed in the Rajya Sabha. He also said the government’s infrastructure in areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) is weak.
