Deadline for sending manuscript extended to January 12
Guwahati: The All Assam Sashanka Das Kalita Memorial “Rupalim Drama Competition 2023” has been organized under the initiative of The Lankeshwar Das Memorial Dance and in collaboration with the Halogaon Sewak Sangha and Library, which entered its fourth year. The Memorial “Rupalim Drama Competition 2023” will be held on 28 and 29 January, 2023.
For the drama Competition manuscripts from theatre troupes of different parts of Assam were invited and manuscript submission date has been extended till January 12. This year cash prize of twenty thousand will be awarded respectively for the first best drama team, second best drama team and the third best drama team. Similarly, a cash prize of Rs 5,000 has been announced for the best manuscript, Rs 5,000 each for best director, Rs 5,000 for best actor and actress, Rs 3,000 each for best child artiste along with a citation and memento. Arrangements have also been made to issue certificates and memoranda as special references to the jury. On the other hand three thousand rupees cash for travel will be given to every team which does not get any one prize.

The name of the play, the name of the theatre group, the name of the director, the length of the play, the contact address, email and Mobile number etc. should be mentioned. The length of the play has been fixed for forty-five minutes with the stage format. Each theatre group will have to deposit Rs 500 as admission fee to the office on reaching the competition venue.
