Islamabad:Pakistan is burning in the fire of goods price hike. In some parts of Pakistan, the price of one kg of chicken has reached Rs 650. According to Pakistani newspapers, businessmen and poultry farmers warned on Tuesday that the rate at which the price of chicken is increasing may soon exceed the purchasing power of the common man and the chicken is going to be as expensive as beef.
Traders in Pakistan fear that the price of chicken may cross Rs 800 per kg very soon. As a result, the price of chicken will be equal to the price of cow, sheep and goat meat. Broiler chicken is being sold at Rs 370 per kg in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad.
