Moscow:In October, President Putin handed over the battle of Ukraine to Sergei Surovikin, known as the “toughest general” of the Russian army. But even then, the pace of the war did not change.
Within three months, Russian President Vladimir Putin has changed the commander of the war in Ukraine. General Sergei Surovikin was replaced by General Valery Gerasimov. Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu made the announcement on Thursday. Surovikin is believed to have been removed due to multiple failures in the last few months of war.
