64 doctors dismissed after five-year absence from duty

Patna:The 64 doctors were finally dismissed after being absent from duty for five years. The Bihar government on Friday dismissed 64 doctors from service for being absent from duty for more than five years, officials said.

The decision in this regard was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday following the health department’s proposal. The doctors were posted in various districts including Araria, Aurangabad, Banka, Bhagalpur, Bhojpur and Darbhanga.
