New Delhi:India on the verge of becoming most populous country in the world. China has now broken this record that China has been achieving for years. It is to be noted that for the first time in the last six decades, china’s population has declined. With this, India will overtake China as the world’s most populous country to be ranked first.
China’s National Bureau of Statistics recently announced that the number of deaths currently recorded in the country is more than 9.56 million. As a result, China’s population has declined by 850,000 to 1.4175 billion in 2022. The famine in China has killed millions of people. UN experts had predicted last year that India’s population would soon reach 1.412 billion. But India is yet to collect the latest data on population as covid has delayed the census scheduled in 2021.
