New DelhI:After fixing the revolver in marina hotel, there was a preparation to kill Gandhiji the same day. Digambar Badge suggested that Madanlal Pahwa should be given a gun-cotton-slab and a hand-grenade. Gopal Godse and Vishnu Karkare should also keep a hand grenade each. Whereas, he (Digambar Badge) and Shankar Kistaiah will also carry a revolver with a hand-grenade each. Narayan Apte and Nathuram Godse just give a signal. His suggestion was accepted. Apte said Madanlal would first explode with a gun-cotton-slab so that the crowd would disintegrate and kill Gandhiji.
Apte also suggested that everyone would be called by the wrong name. At his behest, Nathuram Godse named ‘Deshpande’, Vishnu Karkare named ‘Beas’, Narayan Apte named ‘Karmarkar’, Shankar Kistaiah named ‘Tukaram’ and Diingbar Badge named ‘Bandopant’.
