Government locks wrestling federation’s doors after denying sexual harassment allegations

New Delhi:Anurag Thakur announced the formation of the Oversight Committee after a meeting with star wrestlers. The committee will investigate against Brijbhushan. Besides, the committee will run the federation instead of Brijbhushan. Till the formation of this committee, the Center has stopped all ‘operations’ of the wrestling federation.

The Union Sports Minister has already announced the removal of Wrestling Federation chief Brij Bhushan Singh Sharan. This time the government has ordered to stop all the work of the federation. The current ranking competition has been postponed. The ‘entry fee’ paid in the competition will be refunded to the contestants.
