Guwahati:A day earlier, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma could not recognize Shah Rukh Khan. When asked about the protests over Shah Rukh’s film ‘Pathan’, Himanta Palta asked, ‘Who is Shah Rukh?’ Shah Rukh khan called up the Assam chief minister after himanta’s remarks. Himanta Biswa Sarma admitted to the phone call and said that he assured Shah Rukh that ‘Pathan’ will be screened in Assam without any hindrance.
Cm wrote – Bollywood actor Shri @iamsrk called me and we talked today morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati during screening of his film. I assured him that it’s duty of state govt to maintain law & order. We’ll enquire and ensure no such untoward incidents.
