Republic day of Dhubri District to be observed at Indo-Bangladesh border

Dhubri: The republic day of Dhubri District will be observed centrally at Satrasal a village in Indo-Bangladesh border. This unique initiative has been taken to raise the spirit of nationalism amongst the residents of bordering areas of the country. The bordering area residents are naturally excited about the event being held at Satrasal Higher Secondary Vidyapith playground instead of Raja Prabhat Chandra Baruah Playground at Dhubri District Headquarter.

The school ground which is located just 200 meters away from the barbed wires of Indo Bangladesh border is all decked up to observe the Republic Day celebration in the district. Minister Jayanta Mallabaruah will unfurl the flag as a Chief Guest in the District Republic Day celebration. The parade to be displayed by Assam Police and Para military forces and the cultural extravaganza to be showcased are expected to lift the public spirit in the 74th Republic Day celebration in the district. The celebration will also be attended by Deputy Commissioner of Dhubri, Superintendent of Police, Dhubri, District Officials, Senior officials of BSF and leading citizens of Dhubri District. It is expected that the Republic Day celebration in this strategic location will boost the patriotic ideals of the individuals residing in the bordering area of India and Bangladesh.
