Police said the complainant is 78 years old. He was a senior official of a private company. The old man was looking for a ‘partner’ on a ‘dating site’. In May 2022, two people named Rajat Singh and Neha Sharma called him. They identified themselves as employees of the respective dating site. After this, he took the WhatsApp number himself. The old man was told that he would be introduced to his new partner on WhatsApp. But for that, there will be a ‘registration charge’.
