After Hajo Now Ajit Kumar Bhuyan’s MP Funds Misused In Rangia ,There is no existence of many roads

Guwahati: The news of the Rajya Sabha MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan’s Mp fund misuse is a hot topic for the media now. It is alleged that continuity of corruption in MP funds is intact. There have been allegations of rampant corruption and irregularities in Rangiya after Hajo in the use of MP funds of Rajya Sabha MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan. The issue has evoked widespread reactions among the locals. Meanwhile, the Chief Minister’s Special Anti-Corruption Branch has initiated an inquiry into the allegations of corruption in the name of constructing six roads with MP funds of MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan in Hajo. Rangia constituency also got several lakhs in the name of road construction with MP Ajit kumar Bhuiyan”s MP funds.

Under the local MP area development fund (MPLAD)a lot of rupees were allocated in Rangiya. There have been allegations of embezzlement of money. According to special information, in the name of constructing only five roads in Rangia constituency, massive corruption of capital wealth was alleged. Of these, Rs 15.60 lakh in the name of construction of Krishna Temple Road in Rangia, Rs 15 lakh in the name of construction of Rangia Milan Nagar Road, 15.60 lakh in the name of construction of Nakuchi Road – Septi-Bihdia road, 15 lakh in the name of construction of Bengali Suba Road – No. 1 Tulsibari, 15 lakh in the name of construction of Sharma Chuba Road – Nakuchi Pamhi Road, 15 lakh in the name of construction of Sharma Chuba road -Nakuchi Pamhi road . An allocation of Rs 14 lakh has been made in the name of construction of khairabari boro suba to Basumatary Suba road. In these cases, local people alleged that the construction of the road, especially from Nakuchi Pamhi Suba to Sharma Suba and the Rangiya Milan Nagar road do not seem to exist.According to a section of villagers, no road construction work has been done with MP Ajit Kumar Bhuyan’s MP funds. The local people are angry over such rampant corruption. Locals have demanded that the government should conduct a proper investigation and give appropriate punishment to the culprits.
