New Delhi: The government has spent crores of rupees in the name of ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, an education program organized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the students of the country. How much the program has benefited the students of the country is another matter but the government has not paid anything at all in spending on conducting such programs. The government has spent Rs 28 crore in the first five editions of Modi’s ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’.
This has come to light in the information submitted by the country’s education ministry in Parliament. The sixth edition of the event was held on January 27 at The Talkotra Stadium in Delhi. Union Minister of State for Education Annapurna Devi, in a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, revealed that in 2018, rs 3.67 crore was spent on pariksha pe charcha. The programme cost rs 4.93 crore in 2019, Rs 5.69 crore in 2020, Rs 6 crore in 2021 and Rs 8.61 crore in 2022.
