New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi today slams the opposition in the Rajya Sabha. Modi criticised other opposition parties, including the Congress, for their hunger. Prime Minister Modi said that some states have turned the ‘economy’ into ‘non-economics’ for political gains. Prime Minister Modi also referred to the freebies offered by several non-BJP ruled states.
The Prime Minister said that the Congress is creating problems for regional leaders of opposition parties. The Indira Gandhi-led government had ‘misused’ Article 356 of the Constitution 50 times to dismiss elected state governments.
