Guwahati :The Government of Assam under the leadership of Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has tried to encourage the students and youth of the state to participate in this development and development and take the lead towards enriching the social life of Assam, keeping in view the equitable development and development of all sections of the people of the state. Another priority of the present government is to actively involve the various communities of Assam in the programmes taken towards the development of the state.The State Level Advisory Committee, Students and Youth Welfare of the Government of Assam has been undertaking various programmes in this direction in the last few days. The committee recently unveiled some new aspects to take forward and ensure the welfare of tribal students and youth of the state. In the meantime, the State Level Advisory Committee of the Government of Assam, at the initiative of students and youth welfare, to review for the first time for the discussion and development and publication of the socio-economic, tradition, education-sports-culture of Assam, the “Yuva Sadan” organized on Saturday at the “Vivanta Hotel” , Khanapara, Guwahati.
While taking the leadership of long-standing students and youth organizations, review the main aspects of the development process of the communities, the provision of self-employment, the encouragement of the new generation in the pursuit of higher and technical education, as well as the main aspects of moving forward significantly in the matter of sports- culture, tradition.Today’s ‘Yuva Sadan’ was attended by several eminent personalities from Assam and with their visionary thoughts, highlighted the issue and outlined the future. Participating in the inaugural session of today’s ‘Yuva Sadan’, attended by representatives of 27 tribal youth-student organisations of the state, Gitartha Goswami, Member Secretary, Student and Youth Welfare, Government of Assam, spoke about the aims and objectives of the event.
The first theme of today’s ‘Yuva Sadan’ was “The role and responsibility of students and youth organisations for the development of new generation education- culture, tradition, sports”. The first session was presided over by Dr Mridul Hazarika, Vice Chancellor of Shankardev University and Dr Dayanand Pathak, Retired Principal of Pragjyotish College . Arunjyoti Moran served as the secretary of the first session . Yudhishthira Gogoi concluded the first session.
On the other hand, Dr. Hemanta Kumar Baruah, retired Vice-Chancellor of Bodoland University presided over the second session and Samudragupta Kashyap, Information Commissioner, Government of Assam, as lecturer. Seemanta Das served as the secretary of the second session. The concluding session of the first session was delivered by Dr. Bhabendra Nath Mahan. The second theme of ‘Yuva Sadan’ was “Importance of Student and Youth Organisations in Socio-Economic Development of Assam”.
Dr. Dayanand Pathak, who was present as a orator in the first session, highlighted the role of students and youth organisations in the collective development of the new generation. On the other hand, in the second session, Samudragupta Kashyap points out the obstacles seen in the socio-economic development of Assam and analyzes the fact that real development is possible only through its eradication. He stressed on the need for work culture as well as self-reliance, promotion of education and social awareness.
Meanwhile, 24 tribal student-youth organisations present in today’s ‘Yuva Sadan’ .The 24 tribal student-youth organisations include- Takam Mising Paring Kebang, Sarania Kachari, Tai Ahom Youth Council, All Moran Students’ Union, Dimasa Students’ Union, All Bodo Students’ Union, Motak Yuva Chatra Sanmilan, Tea Tribe Students’ Union, Gorkha Students’ Union, Chutia Students’ Union, All Assam Hajong Students’ Union, Sadau Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Union, Sadao Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Union, All Assam Bengali Youth Students’ Union. Tiwa Students’ Union, Thengal Kachari Students’ Union, Deori Students’ Union, All Assam Kaivarta Students’ Union, Nikhil Bishnupriya Manipuri Yuva Parishad, All Assam Maria Students’ Union, Madahi Students’ Union, Mesh-Kachari Yuva Parishad.
