New Delhi: Samajwadi Party (SP) veteran Azam Khan and his son Abdullah Azam Khan have been sentenced to two years in jail by a Court in Uttar Pradesh in a 15-year-old case. Moradabad court judge Smita Goswami sentenced the father-son duo of the Samajwadi Party to jail.
The court also imposed a fine of Rs 3,000 on them. An FIR was lodged against Azam Khan, Abdullah Azam and seven others at the Sajlite police station in Moradabad in 2008. A case was registered against them on January 29, 2008 after they protested on the state highway.
