New Delhi: The BBC has sent a special email to the employees of the news agency in India while the Income Tax Department conducted a survey at the BBC’s offices in Delhi and Mumbai. The Income Tax department conducts a survey at the BBC office throughout the night. It is learnt that the survey is still going on.
In such a situation, the BBC authorities have asked the staff to cooperate in the investigation via email. Meanwhile, the BBC has asked all employees, except the broadcasting department, to work from home. In an email, the BBC has also asked the staff to provide all necessary help to investigators as well as give detailed answers to their questions. The email also states that employees should not open up about their personal income. However, if any salary related questions are asked, it has been asked to be answered.
