Guwahati:Assam Assembly Speaker Biswajit Daimary has always shown respectable treatment to the media in the state. The Speaker has expressed this behaviour outside and inside the Assam Assembly. But many have pointed out and alleged that Haren Buragohain, a former journalist who has been camping in the premises of the Assam Legislative Assembly for the last three decades with various tactics, has been conspiring tactically against a section of media and journalists.It is alleged that he even misleaded the Speaker and other officials of the Assembly in many cotext. There are allegations that recently on the recommendation of the Speaker of the Assembly, it was decided to issue a digital pass to regular journalists who regularly present the news of the assembly session and visit the premises of the Assembly Secretariat .
That is why the so-called secretary of the press reporter committee of the Assam Legislative Assembly Haren Burhagohain , which has no registration, has been directed to submit a three-member list of journalists serving the news of the assembly session against every newspaper, TV channel, etc. Accordingly the names of the DIPR recgnised every daily newspaper, tv channel journalist were submitted by Haren Burhagohain . However not a single name of journalist was included in the list from an old newspaper. That is the decade old newspaper ‘The Assam Rising’. On the contrary, the Speaker and officials of the Assembly Secretariat were misleaded by giving negative, false and motivated comments about ‘The Assam Rising’. Three journalists from For all other newspapers, TV channels, etc were included in the list of 80 members and obtained . But in the case of the established English daily ‘The Assam Rising’ no one can get approval due to Haren Buragohain’s conspiracy. So many people accused Haren Buragohain of conspiratorially depriving the ‘The Assam Rising’.Therefore, in this case,many people urged the Assembly Secretariat and the Speaker to held accountable Haren Buragohain for such conspiracies.
