The Telangana police had recently detained YS Sharmila for making controversial remarks against Mahabubbabad MLA and BRS leader Shankar Naik. Police have registered a case against Sharmila under Section 504 of the Indian Penal Code for intentional insult to others and section 3(1) of the SCHEDULED CASTE ST POA Act with the intention of disturbing the peace.
