Guwahati:In the Summer Athletics Championship held from February 15 to February 19 at the Chalt Lake Stadium in Kolkata Assam got many medals.The number of players from Assam was 338 in the competition that participated in almost four hedgers.
Assam has won a handful of 167 medals including 60 gold, 58 rounds and 49 bronze., Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport resident sportsman Anima Sonowal, has been awarded the Highest Number of Gold Medals.Anima Sonowal won the high jump, triple jump, pole vault and first place in 4 x 100 m railies.In the meantime AAI of the North East Zone wishes Anima Sonowal for her best perfomance.
