New Delhi:Another 32 of the 16 articles of the Party Constitution of the Congress will be amended. One of the rules to be amended is the appointment of a former Congress president and a former prime minister as members of the party’s executive committee.
If the resolution is passed, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi will be able to become members of the CWC and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh will also be able to become members of the party’s top decision-making committee. This was disclosed by party president Mallikarjun Kharge at a party meeting held in Raipur on Friday. Kharge was empowered to form a committee on the issue.
