New Delhi:The Enforcement Directorate has seized “unaccounted cash” worth Rs 1 crore during raids at the house of former Bihar chief minister and RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav. The ED raided the family of RJD leader Lalu Prasad in connection with a case related to railway land and confirmed the presence of illegal income of Rs 600 crore.
The ED had conducted searches at 24 locations in connection with the Railway Land for Job scam. During the search, the ED seized unaccounted cash of Rs 1 crore, USD 1900, 540 grams of gold bullion and more than 1.5 kg of gold jewellery from Salalu’s family. The ED has released information on additional investments made by the Lalu family and their friends in various sectors including real estate at various places.
