New Delhi:Just six days ago, prime minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a shiny new expressway, which was submerged in the rain. The Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway was submerged in water in Ramanagara area near Bengaluru on Friday night due to heavy rains.
The highway has been built at a cost of Rs 8,480 crore. Assembly elections in Karnataka are due this year. Earlier on March 12, the Prime Minister inaugurated the expressway. Which has got a different importance from the political point of view. Within six days of the inauguration, pictures of waterlogging on the roads due to rain surfaced. The 118-km-long expressway will make passenger transportation smoother. Travel time will also be reduced.
