Vehicles on Delhi’s roads have fallen by 35 per cent following restrictions against old vehicles According to a report in the Economic Survey of Delhi, 2022-23, the total number of vehicles on roads in the national capital has come down by more than 35 per cent after the state government banned the movement of old vehicles.
Delhi Finance Minister Kailash Gahlot said this while presenting the Delhi Economic Survey in the Assembly. According to the petition, the total number of motor vehicles on Delhi’s roads was 79.18 lakh in 2021-22. The number of vehicles has come down by 35.38 per cent after the Delhi government banned diesel vehicles that are over 10 years old and petrol vehicles older than 15 years.
