PM’s security breach: Strict ‘disciplinary action’ to be taken against former Punjab DGP, two IPS officers

New Delhi:Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has ordered initiation of strict disciplinary action against former DGP S Chattopadhyay and two other senior police officers in connection with security beef violations during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Punjab in January last year.

Apart from Chattopadhyay, who retired a few days ago, strict disciplinary action will also be taken against the then Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police of Ferozepur range Indrabir Singh and the then Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) of Ferozepur Harmandeep Singh Hans.
