Strong Earthquake Rattles Pakistan, 13 people killed

Islamabad:The powerful earthquake shook parts of Pakistan on Tuesday night. According to the country’s Meteorological Center, the magnitude of the earthquake was 6.8 on the Richter scale. The earthquake caused panic and many people were reported to have fled their homes. According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department, the epicentre of the earthquake was in the Hindukush region of Afghanistan. So far, 13 people have been reported dead in the quake.

According to initial reports, tremors were felt in various cities including Islamabad, Peshawar, Sarsadda, Lahore and Rawalpindi. Television footage shows panicked civilians running on the highway. Tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR around 10.15 pm on Tuesday. 13 people killed till now. Tremors were felt in Delhi-NCR at around 10.15 pm on Tuesday night. Tremors were also felt in UP, Punjab, Jammu and Kashmir, Uttarakhand, Bihar. Its intensity was estimated at 6.6.
