New Delhi:After several incidents of stone-pelting on the Vande Bharat Express, this time the Railways has taken a tough decision. Those accused of pelting stones in Vande Bharat will be sent to jail for five years. The South-Central Railway issued a similar warning on Tuesday to prevent stone-pelting incidents. Apart from this, the Railways has also appealed to the public not to give any kind of shelter to such miscreants.
The south-central railway’s move comes in the wake of several incidents of stone-pelting in Vande Bharat from several parts of Telangana. According to railway sources, there have been several incidents of stone-pelting targeting Vande Bharat in Kazipet, Khammam, Kazipet-Bhangir and Eluru-Rajahmundry sections. According to news agency PTI, in January this year, there have been nine attacks on Vande Bharat.
