New Delhi: There was a handkerchief, it became a cat. In the same way, the office of the Pradesh Congress Committee was covered with a saffron flag! From a political point of view, such a scenario is practically surprising. However, such a picture was caught in Bhopal.
What exactly is the case? The Congress headquarters in Madhya Pradesh’s Bhopal (PCC office) has been draped in a saffron flag. On Sunday, the state Congress organised a pujari sammelan in Bhopal. Around 1,200 temple worshippers from various districts of the state were invited to the Congress state office. It was there that the ‘Pujari Prakoshta’ conference was held. There is also an organization of Congress by this name. The color of their flag is also saffron. That is why the state office of the Congress was adorned with this color.
Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh will be held in November this year. The Congress returned to power last time, but the government collapsed midway. Jyotiraditya Scindia joined the Padma camp along with the angry Congress MLAs. As a result, the Congress government ended. Shivraj Singh Chouhan’s BJP came to power.
With an eye on the upcoming elections, the Congress is trying to mobilise party workers as well as make religious rituals a tool. State Congress president Kamal Nath feels that it is necessary to organize puja parvan for Hindus in the interest of the party. If the party turns away from this, it is the BJP’s advantage. Sudhir Bharti, head of the pujari cell, said that if the Congress forms the government, the old system of appointing priests in the temple will be introduced.
